With over 35 years in the fashion, beauty and entertainment industry perfecting his craft in New York City and Hollywood, his style has been published in the New York Times fashion section with numerous designer runway shows under his belt. Harlan started his career after college modeling for the Mike Beatty Agency, Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas and Wilhelmina Agency in New York City. He always has his eye right on the pulse of the fashion industry in creating the right look for the right person; It’s in his genes, and it comes natural! He transitioned from the big city life and returned to his roots to be close to his late parents.

Harlan is a graduate of Northwestern State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications. He was active in student government, head cheerleader, student union activities and directed the Miss Northwestern Lady of the Bracelet Pageant while attending college. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity and Blue key Honor Society.

He is elated to be a part of the Miss Louisiana Volunteer Pageant, empowering young women across the state of Louisiana, and throughout the country.
