While working at Kirkland's she was in the beginning stages of starting her own interior decorating business when she was in a career ending accident. She started volunteering with the National Princess America Pageant in Orlando, FL that helps raise funds for terminally ill children. She is the Director of Operations. Overseeing such activities as the Gala/Silent Auctions, ticket sales and all activities during pageant week. She also volunteered with a Louisiana local pageant for five years helping wherever needed.

She feels women should have every opportunity to succeed in ANYTHING.

Pageants help promote confidence and also give young women the ability to pay for their education and have a platform to express their passions whether it be for their communities and/or volunteering opportunities.
